Mid-Michigan Hunger Profile
Each person living in poverty in the Capital Area misses more than eight meals per week*
- In Ingham County alone, approximately 41,000 people live in poverty
- 45% of mid-Michigan food bank recipients are under the age of 18; 12% are under the age of five
- 40% of mid-Michigan families served by food banks have at least one employed adult
- 31% must choose between paying for food and paying for medicine/medical care

Community Support
Holt Community Food Bank is supported by community donations from individuals, churches and
businesses, as
well as grants. We also enjoy strong support from local food stores. Food donations can be dropped off at Kroger (corner of Willoughby & Cedar) and L & L (S. Cedar).
